How Milo The Pup handles permissions, on-device data, subscriptions, and analytics.
Last updated August 18, 2026
How we use data
Milo The Pup does not require an account. Focus minutes, rules, notification times, and Plus entitlement are stored on your device. On iPhone, Screen Time and Device Activity use Apple’s encrypted tokens — we do not receive your app list as plain names. On Android, Usage Access (and optionally Accessibility) power session blocking and Top apps today. We don’t sell your data.
Camera and notifications
Optional exit challenges may use the camera (for example pose or outdoor checks). Frames are processed on your device for the challenge and are not uploaded as a photo library. If you allow notifications, we schedule local reminders on the device. When Firebase Cloud Messaging is enabled, a device token may be used to deliver push alerts. You can decline notification permission; local reminders still work if you allow them later.
Subscriptions and partners
Plus is required to use the app. Purchases are billed by Apple or Google through RevenueCat. We receive product and transaction status to unlock Plus — not your full payment-card details. Paywall screens may be presented by Superwall; the purchase itself still goes through RevenueCat and your store account.
Analytics and crash reports
When configured, PostHog measures product usage and Sentry records crashes and performance. Both use an anonymous identifier stored on your device (not your name or email). Debug builds are tagged as development so they can be filtered from production.
What we don’t do
- Read your messages, photos, or passwords.
- Create an account or require a login.
- Track you across other companies’ apps for ads.
Children
Milo The Pup is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
