Getting started

Set up the app

Open Milo The Pup and follow the setup screens. You can skip optional steps and change them later in Settings.

Milo The Pup may ask you to:

• allow Screen Time access on iPhone;
• allow Usage Access on Android;
• choose apps for your first rule;
• allow notifications;
• add the home-screen widget; and
• subscribe to or restore Milo The Pup Plus (required to use the app).

Start your first session

1. On Home, tap Focus session.
2. Choose your focus time, break time, and number of cycles.
3. Select the apps you want to block.
4. Tap Start.

Selected apps are blocked only during focus time. They become available during breaks, when the session is paused, or when it ends.

Home tour

The first time you reach Home, Milo The Pup points out the main parts of the app. You can skip the tour. To see it again, open Settings → Run onboarding again.

Running onboarding again does not delete your focus history, rules, or subscription.

If setup does not work

• iPhone: Open Milo The Pup Settings and request Screen Time access again.
• Android: Open Milo The Pup Settings and grant Usage Access.
• Return to Milo The Pup after changing a system permission.
• Restart the app if the permission status does not update.
