Top apps today

• iPhone: Allow Screen Time access. Uses a real iPhone.
• Android: Allow Usage Access.

Add the widget

The Milo The Pup home-screen widget has two modes:

When no session is running — shows your focus streak and today's progress toward your daily goal.

During an active focus session — switches to a live view with:

• countdown timer
• focus or break phase (or paused)
• cycle (for example, 2 of 4)
• session schedule (focus and break lengths)
• blocked apps summary when blocking is active

iPhone

1. Touch and hold an empty area on the Home Screen.
2. Tap Edit or the + button.
3. Search for Milo The Pup.
4. Choose small or medium size and tap Add Widget.

Small and medium layouts both support the live session view. After adding or updating the widget, remove and re-add it if the layout looks stale.

Android

1. Touch and hold an empty area on the Home screen.
2. Tap Widgets.
3. Find Milo The Pup and drag it onto the Home screen.

The Android widget timer updates when Milo syncs session data (not every second on its own). Open the app briefly if the countdown looks behind.

Live Activity (iPhone only)

On iOS 16.1 and later, a running or paused focus session can also appear as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island (iPhone 14 Pro and newer).

If you do not see it:

1. Allow notifications for Milo The Pup.
2. In Settings → Milo The Pup, turn Live Activities on.
3. Start or resume a focus session, then lock the phone or go to the Home Screen.

Live Activities end when you stop the session or finish all cycles.

If the widget or Live Activity looks out of date, open Milo The Pup once, then return to the Home Screen.
