iOS & Screen Time

Allow Screen Time access and fix app blocking on iPhone.

iOS & Screen Time

Milo The Pup uses Apple's Screen Time permission to let you choose and block apps. Your app selections stay protected by iOS.

Allow access

  1. Open Milo The Pup Settings.
  2. Tap Screen Time access.
  3. Approve the Apple permission request.
  4. Return to Milo The Pup.

Focus sessions and scheduled rules cannot block apps until access is approved.

Choose apps

When Milo The Pup opens Apple's app picker, select the apps or categories you want to block, then confirm your choice.

Top apps today

After Screen Time access is approved, Home can show Apple's Screen Time report for today. Apple keeps this information private and displays it through its own report view.

Important

Screen Time app selection, blocking, and usage reports must be tested on a physical iPhone. They do not work fully in the iOS Simulator.

Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure Screen Time is enabled in iPhone Settings.
  2. Request access again from Milo The Pup Settings.
  3. Confirm the rule is on or the focus session is running.
  4. Restart Milo The Pup after changing access.
  5. If blocking still fails, restart the iPhone and try again.
